2012 Fir Crest Vineyard Pinot Noir
Vibrant sour cherry, steeped plum, and bramble aromas leap with undertones of clove, tarragon, leather, and tobacco. A core of bright cherry, baking spice, toasted coffee, and vanilla on the palate.
Vibrant scents of sour cherry, steeped plum, and bramble leap from the glass with notes of vanilla and clove joining dried tarragon, sandalwood, sweet leather, and tobacco. On the palate this displays a deep core of cherry and plum fruit with a firm core of tannins and balanced acidity. The finish is long with the characteristic baking spice of the Yamhill-Carlton AVA, toasted coffee notes, and vanilla picking up as the fruit lingers. Drink now through 2027+.
All Yamihill-Carlton fruit from old vines--one block of 30 year old vines and one block of 23 year old vines. Willakenzie soil series, an old, well draining, sedimentary soil formed mainly from ancient sea floor.
